In an unexpected and shocking result, Vladimir Putin's party wins a landslide victory in the Rus

Vladimir Putin’s party, “United Russia”, just won 343 of the 450 seats in the Duma, the Russian parliament, in the Russian parliamentary elections. In the 2011 elections, the party won 238 seats. But this election's outcome means Putin’s party will now hold the largest-ever majority of seats. That is enough to allow the party to unilaterally change the country’s constitution. But the real cherry came from Chechnya, where Chechnya's brutal and murderous Russian puppet president, Ramzan Kadyrov, a firm ally of Mr Putin who runs his troubled North Caucasus republic with an iron fist - swept to victory with 98% of the vote!!! It is also important to note that not one of the opposition to Putin parties managed to get a single seat in the Russian Duma. The independent election monitoring group Golos said that "although the level of violations in this election campaign was lower than in 2011 there were many in the run-up to the voting". Mikhail Kasyanov, the former prime minister of Russian and the leader of Russian opposition PARNAS party which failed to get a single seat in the Duma, said that "massive violations" had also been reported elsewhere, including in the capital. Some polling stations did report vote-rigging. In one instance witnesses reported an election worker cramming ballots into a box, and in one part of Siberia, there were reports of “carousel voting,” in which a group of people are bussed to different voting stations to cast ballots more than once.
