The irony of the mass produced corporate owned Anonymous mask.

The mass produced ‘Anonymous’ masks that "anarchists-communists" are so fond of wearing are owned and produced by a multi national corporation. What few people seem to know, though, is that Time Warner, one of the largest media companies in the world and parent of Warner Brothers, owns the rights to the Guy Fawkes mask design from the 2006 Warner Brothers film “V for Vendetta.” So, every time you purchase one of those masks, they are paid a licensing fee.

Indeed, with the help of Anonymous, the mask has become one of the most popular disguises and — in a small way — has added to the $28 billion in revenue Time Warner accumulated last year. At one point it was the top-selling mask on, beating out masks of Batman, Harry Potter and Darth Vader. Every time an Anonymous protester dons a Guy Fawkes mask, Time Warner goes "ka-ching". But Time Warner are not the only ones profiting handsomely from the "anti-capitalist" movement.

Those mass produced masks which are usually manufactured in sweatshop conditions are directly bought from Brazil, China or Mexico at a price of around $0.30 a piece, and later sold to western "anarchists-communists" with prices ranging from $5 to $15. People are literally making a killing from "revolutionary anarchists" who buy these masks so they can wear them on their "anti capitalism" marches and demonstrations worldwide. But going out protesting "capitalism" while wearing a corporate manufactured masks would be akin to protesting McDonalds by hurling cups of Starbucks coffee at Mcdonald's stores.
