Obama comes clean on Libya, sort of.

Barack Obama said that Libya was the "worst mistake" of his presidency. He said that even though he still belived that intervening in Libya had been "the right thing to do", "Failing to plan" for the aftermath of Muammar Gaddafi’s downfall was his biggest regret from his time in office It's nice to see that Obama is finally catching up with reality and with what almost EVRYBODY with a brain has been screaming for the last five years. Oh, and NEWSFLASH Obama, it would have ended EXACTLY the same way even if the US and NATO had stayed on and tried to "nation build" Libya, as the US has tried and failed in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Since the NATO operation in 2011 that toppled the Gaddafi regime in Libya, Libya has descended into near-anarchy – ruled by rival militias vying for power while the Islamic State group has gained influence in the country, making Libya its center of operation in North Africa. Just to set the record straight, Gaddafi was brutal dictator, but Gaddafi's Libya was much preferable than the dystopian inferno that is Libya today.
